Arthur Chauncy Drewry III

At Lyda Law Firm, Chauncy counsels small businesses and startups and supervises complex commercial litigation. His legal experience includes entity formation, employment agreements, employment law litigation, contracts, and bankruptcy. In addition to his work with businesses, Chauncy also has extensive Social Security disability experience.

Prior to joining Lyda Law Firm, Chauncy operated his own practice and was the director and supervising attorney at The National Disability Group, where he functioned as general counsel while managing budgets, vendors, and staff. As the director and supervising attorney, Chauncy gained expertise in attorney and staff management, new client intake, client service, hearing and trial preparation, and case management.

It was at NDG where Chauncy discovered his passion for business development, entrepreneurship, and start-ups. This passion helped him execute on the strategic vision for the practice by leading the staff in pursuits of high performance and even higher service standards.

Chauncy’s unique mixture of operational and legal experience makes him well-rounded and knowledgeable regarding many legal issues commonly faced by small to medium-sized businesses and entrepreneurs.

When he is not representing clients or spending time with his family, Chauncy is a world-traveler. He played soccer professionally in Europe and has coached amateur teams all over the country, including KIPP Colorado Sunshine Peak Academy here in Denver. One of the highlights of Chauncy’s career (so far) is being awarded Pro Bono Attorney of the Year, Legal Services of Northern Virginia, Alexandria Office.

He earned his J.D. from the University of Tennessee College of Law and his undergraduate degree from Washington & Lee University.
