Thomas A. Ramunda Jr. has earned a Martindale-Hubbell BV Distinguished Rating, recognizing his “Very High Standards in Both Legal Ability and Ethical Standards.”
Before building a respected legal career in Colorado, Tom was born and raised in Bergen County, New Jersey. After graduating from high school, he ventured west to attend the University of Dayton in Ohio, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. He then returned to the East Coast and gained valuable legal experience working as a paralegal for large corporate law firms in New York and Boston.
Tom later pursued his law degree at the University of Denver College of Law, drawn in part by its highly regarded Student Law Office Program. During the summer after his first year of law school, he developed a passion for litigation while participating in the program and gaining practical, real-world courtroom experience. After graduating in 1992, Tom chose to begin his legal career in Colorado, drawn by the state’s climate, natural beauty, strong network of family and friends, and respected legal community.
Tom began his post-law-school career as a trial attorney in Colorado Springs, where he served for eight years as a public defender. In that role, he tried numerous cases ranging from misdemeanors to complex felonies, including homicides, and achieved significant success on behalf of his clients.
In 2000, Tom transitioned into private practice and opened his office on Mainstreet in Parker, Colorado. Today, Tom represents clients in family law and criminal defense matters throughout Adams, Arapahoe, Denver, Douglas, Lincoln, Jefferson, and surrounding counties. He also routinely appears in municipal courts.
Throughout his career, Tom has been recognized not only as a skilled litigator, but also as an attorney with the judgment to avoid unnecessary litigation when a better resolution is possible. His experience, perspective, and practical wisdom allow him to identify the best legal approach for each client’s unique situation. Clients and members of the Colorado legal community have come to know Tom as a trusted advocate with an unwavering commitment to the law and to protecting the rights and best interests of the people he represents.
