My experience with Amy Petersen as a family investigator did not meet expectations. Despite providing a decade’s worth of documentation and interviews, much of this evidence appeared to be disregarded in the final assessment. Partway through the process, we were charged an additional $1,000+ for ...an extension, justified as necessary due to the case’s complexity. That extension ultimately stretched the process to 5 months, though the outcome didn’t reflect a corresponding level of thoroughness. She also recommended alcohol and substance abuse classes for my ex and myself — a recommendation that felt disproportionate given the circumstances. I’d encourage others to carefully consider whether her services align with what they need before engaging her.

Amy Petersen was hired as the CFI in my child’s custody case. She was incredibly unprofessional, constantly asking for extensions and more money. It took her an entire year to do a report that had a 3 month deadline, and submitted it to the court a week before our hearing. I have also heard from my a...ttorney that other clients of his have had similar experiences with her. Her report was very short and ignored a LOT of evidence. I would not hire this woman. Something is off about her.
