Bailey Dumea is a distinguished legal professional with a strong foundation in litigation, courtroom advocacy, and family law. She began her academic journey at Howard Payne University, where she graduated with honors from the prestigious Guy D. Newman Honors Academy. Bailey earned her bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a focus in Jurisprudence and completed a minor in Psychology.
Bailey went on to attend University of North Dakota School of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctor in 2019. During law school, she also obtained a Certificate in Indian Law, broadening her understanding of complex and specialized legal issues.
Before entering private practice, Bailey served as a criminal prosecutor, where she developed substantial courtroom and trial experience handling a wide range of cases from inception through resolution. Her prosecutorial background provided her with extensive experience in evidentiary hearings, motion practice, witness examination, negotiations, and trial advocacy. Through this work, Bailey cultivated a reputation as a prepared, strategic, and confident advocate inside the courtroom.
In addition to her litigation experience, Bailey has received specialized training in working with victims of domestic violence, giving her valuable insight into the emotional and legal complexities many families face during high-conflict proceedings. Her background allows her to approach sensitive family law matters with both strength and compassion, particularly in cases involving protection orders, custody disputes, and allegations of abuse.
Currently, Bailey serves as an Associate Attorney at Colorado Divorce Law Group, where she focuses on divorce, allocation of parental responsibilities, custody disputes, and other family law matters. She is dedicated to providing strategic, client-focused representation and is known for her meticulous preparation, strong courtroom presence, and unwavering commitment to protecting her clients’ interests both inside and outside of court.
Outside of her legal practice, Bailey enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter.
