I hired Nicole Hanson for the collaborative divorce process. She is flexible on her level of involvement in each client's case and provides education to help them make the best decisions for themselves. Ms. Hanson is very professional, prompt, and offers competitive hourly rates. She maintains a ...good balance of having empathy and compassion while also pushing on her clients and telling them what is and is not reasonable to expect. It is important to her to make sure her clients understand everything fully, in addition to understanding future implications of current decisions on the parenting plans. She is firm with opposing counsel and will advocate her hardest for her clients on what is important to them. She also has the ability to read how the other side operates, and is able to present things to them in a way she believes will be most effective. Ms. Hanson is very creative in finding middle grounds so that her clients do not feel they are making sacrifices to what is most important to them.

I have a unique situation in that I am a government employee who travels and lives internationally on government orders and am also a single parent. When my daughter's non-custodial parent became ambivalent about international travel for my daughter, Nicole assisted me in a short time frame to adjust... my permanent custody orders to enable me to bring my daughter abroad. She was helpful, understanding, and very efficient at resolving the issue. I felt well taken care of and in capable hands. I am so grateful for her help and would highly recommend her to assist with child custody issues.

Nicole is very professional and I am beyond happy with her dedication and knowledge during my divorce process. Let's be honest, all divorces are hard but mine was a doozy involving abuse, drugs, property and toddler. She kept me calm during my moments of stress, returning every call/email all while... making me feel as if I was her only client. She has experience with almost everything that was thrown at her during my time as her client. Nicole helped me increase my time with my son from around 30 days a year to over 100, while fairly dividing financial responsibilities between both parties. She was extremely diligent with the case and an excellent communicator to help me through the process of getting a parenting plan agreed on. Tho...ugh I know I was not her only case at the time, it was difficult to tell because of her quick response time and her attentiveness to me and my case. Her great understanding of family law and her profesionalism made it easy for me to understand my rights and get to a parenting plan that got me the time with my son I deserved.
