Leonard was very helpful in negotiating what could have been a very high-conflict divorce. The other party and respective attorney were continually attempting to engage in conflict, which could have quickly resulted in a contentious and expensive divorce process. Leonard was proactive at de-escalat...ing these conflicts, providing me sound and fair advice for when to engage. He was also fair with my billing when I felt mistakes were made that resulted in additional hours for his firm - and he did not charge for this time.

During the course of a difficult divorce, I was facing the real possibility of both losing my son and my career. The lawyer I had retained had proven ill-equipped to manage the damaging allegations made against me and did not have a strategy that gave me any confidence beyond the apparent rolling of ...the dice. I was not willing to risk either my son or my career with a lawyer who had spent all of my available money and then told me to beg for more in order to hire yet another "investigator" who may or may not fairly represent the truth of my case before a judge. Leonard came highly recommended to me, so I consulted with him. He developed a winning strategy for me that put together a team of experts that had my back and stood by me while I was in the court room facing the potential loss of what mattered most to me in my life. He was fiscally responsible with my limited financial resources and used my money wisely. During the course of the hearing, Leonard and his team were able too clearly establish the unfounded nature of the allegations. He had found a way for the truth to be unveiled in the court room and for a loving father to find justice in a legal system that had previously shown itself to be surprisingly prejudiced against a good dad and a good man. The judge awarded me with nearly 50/50 parenting time and sole decision making rights for my son’s education (which I have been told is extremely rare and very important in giving me the ability to keep my son living with me rather than moving to a different county to live with his mom). The judge also made a statement in the permanent orders that established the complete lack of credibility of the opposing party, giving me even greater assurance that my son will always be able to have his dad to parent him and walk with him as he grows. Leonard saved my life in the ways that mattered most to me.

My experience during my divorce proceedings was great. He was very attentive to my needs and was very informative. Despite all of the run-around from the other party. Mr. Higdon stuck it out and fought for me to the end. At times even I wanted to give up but he wouldn't let me. Gave me a backbone and... a shoulder to lean on. Greatest of all I meet a new friend.
