Lauren Elizabeth Varner

Lauren is a Colorado native who became involved with the field of personal injury long before she became an attorney. In high school and college, Lauren worked for her father, a prominent orthopedic surgeon, who rendered care to patients injured in accidents of all kinds. Witnessing the devastation that these events can bring upon people’s lives solidified Lauren’s calling to help injured victims. Following her first year of law school, a Denver personal injury firm selected Lauren for an internship and hired her as a law clerk until graduation, when they offered her a full-time associate attorney position. Lauren remained with this firm for five years, where she handled all aspects of personal injury cases, from initial client consultations through trial. Within approximately six months of becoming licensed, Lauren conducted her first solo trial. Within two years, Lauren argued before the Colorado Court of Appeals and a large audience of law student observers during the Court’s annual trip to DU for oral arguments. Lauren’s practice has spanned multiple states, myriad jurisdictions within Colorado, as well as federal court.

In 2018, Lauren founded together with a partner the law firm of Varner Faddis Elite Legal, LLC. Lauren has settled hundreds of cases and has extensive litigation experience. She has participated in countless mediations and has successfully resolved cases involving wrongful death, motor vehicle collisions, slip/trip and falls, trucking accidents, motorcycle accidents, auto/pedestrian cases, auto/bicycle accidents, drunk driving accidents, assault/battery, negligent security, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, construction site accidents, and dog bites. Lauren has achieved many significant six figure settlements on behalf of her clients.

Lauren graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Denver – a designation reserved for only those students who achieved a 3.95 GPA or higher and completed a thesis. She then received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where she was honored with the prestigious Student Leadership Award. She acted as a Senior Staff Editor for the Water Law Review, published multiple court reports, and received an award for article editing. Lauren was a President of the Elder Law Society and also of the Health Law Society, and Vice President in Charge of Judge Recruitment for the Moot Court. She received Scholastic Excellence Awards for performance in Advanced Legal Writing, Advanced Legal Research, and Medical Malpractice, awards given to those with the highest grade in each class.

Lauren’s professional philosophy centers around good old fashioned hard work, producing quality work product, and treating others professionally, with dignity and respect at all times.

Outside of work, Lauren enjoys spending time with her family, including her three mini-dachshunds (Turkey, PeeWee, and Craig), meditating, traveling, weight lifting, and participating in occasional fitness competitions.
