Some people would hire a an aggressive attorney that can persuade you to be aggressive and take control of your life. Someone willing to work aggressively for you, if you are w...illing to pay the price and make sacrifices for what you believe is in the best interests of your children. Perhaps you don’t see your actions as manipulating your spouse, family and friends for your own personal gain. Initially my motivation was emotional and all about the money generated through strategic lies, consistent finger pointing and fictitious allegations to drag my spouse through hell. My anger, greed and obsession with revenge alienated my children and the consequences of divorce took an unforeseen toll on my children, creating anxiety, stress and resentment. My attorney assured me that if I followed her lead and aggressive plan prior to and throughout the divorce proceedings and beyond to consistently rain down on my spouse with allegations. I would win, I would get the house, the savings, the retirement, alimony, custody and child support. The divorce became a battle of resentment and revenge, with my persuaded allegations of domestic abuse, child abuse, drug abuse and mental illness of my spouse. I filed restraining orders and made numerous police calls with prompting from my attorney. The divorce was finalized a year ago, I am still in debt to my attorney and I continue to battle with my ex-spouse. My children have been through therapy and have recognized the truth about the divorce and their parents. I am now considering bankruptcy due to the overwhelming legal expenses associated with an extremely bitter divorce and my delusions of taking control of my life by ruining my spouses life. A year after the divorce, my children have all left me to be with their father and refuse to contact me. I am the psychotic one in their eyes now, not their father. My personal greed and my attorneys strategy has ruined my life. I have PTSD from the divorce and what I did to my spouse and my children. I wasn't always truthful and I was persuaded, my attorney was aggressive. Ultimately, my greed and my decision to hire this attorney ruined my life and relationships with my family, friends and children. Was it all really worth it?
