Andrew A. Lopez

Andrew advises domestic and foreign companies and organizations, entrepreneurs and individuals on a variety of corporate and international regulatory and transactional matters. On international issues, Andrew counsels clients on all aspects of U.S. national security and foreign policy export controls, sanctions and embargoes administered by the Department of Commerce, the Department of State, and the Department of Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and he has experience with licensing and compliance in these same areas. He has routinely advised individuals and companies on voluntary disclosures and enforcement cases involving export controls and financial sanctions. As a corporate and transactional attorney, clients rely on Andrew for guidance in all phases of the life cycle of a company from start-up to exit. He also advises health care practitioners and companies on these same issues as well as Stark Law, Anti-Kickback and other laws and regulations applicable to the medical industry. Andrew is a graduate of Columbia University and the New York University Law School. He is admitted to practice in Alaska, Colorado and New York. Before moving to Colorado, Andrew was a corporate associate at the law firm of Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom in New York City.
