Katie assisted me with preparation of a rent to purchase contract. It started with me asking questions about if she actually had done this before. Promised me that she had. Then i was told that i should have paid for the call where is was verifying she could do the work. When basic terms for the ...purchase contract were discussed it was very clear she did not have any experience and in fact the renters representative gave me better advice. I negotiated most tems with them and told Katie what to put in the contracts and how to structure them. She totally misrepresented her experience. things like its not legal to sign a purchase contract but delay the purchase date up to a year. she was wrong on this and several other things. i could have tolerated this but for an attorney with 7 years of experience to bill out at $300 per hour is completely out of line. Notice that before becoming a lawyer she was in the hotel business. Maybe some day after you learn your trade but someone younger than 40 with 7 years of experience, this is crazy. Combine lack of knowledge, because you only know what you know, with a billing rate of someone with 20 to 30 years of experience, give me a break. I got so i could not ask any questions because i was charged for every 5 minutes of discussion. In our initial conversation i was told a less expensive admin person would do most of the work which was not the case.
