Biography
I grew up in the Park Hill area of Denver (Stedman Elementary, Smiley Junior High, East High School). Awarded a Naval ROTC Regular (full tuition) scholarship to Duke University where I graduated in the top fifth of my class in 1965. I became a naval aviator on active duty 1965-1970. I joined the Naval Air Reserve at Buckley Air Force Base and became an operational intelligence officer 1970-1994. After several unit Commanding Officer tours I retired from the Navy in 1994 as Chief of Staff for a five-state area. In 1978 I became a licensed Colorado Real Estate broker and was active as an investor, owner, and developer of residential and commercial real estate in the Denver Metro area 1978-1994 (license currently inactive). Community involvement includes the following: Board Chairman, Cherry Park Public Improvement District 1987-1994; Committee and Board Chairman, Country Club at Castle Pines 1996-2000; Advisory Board Member & Chairman, Douglas County Parks & Trails 2000-2007; Charter Member and Membership Co-chair Castle Pines Village Rotary 2010-present. Law client/Industry familiarity includes real estate special improvement districts; subdividers; developers; homebuilders; investors; general and sub-contractors; building owners, tenants & managers; oil & gas exploration & production companies; gold & minerals; defense contractors; high-tech manufacturers; agri-businesses; medical & dental; retailers; restaurants; hotels; casinos; country clubs; telecommunications; internet service providers; e-commerce entities; entertainment centers; financial; equipment leasing; asset-based lenders; mortgage lenders and loan originators.

Great throughout the entire process
