Lisa Hayes is an absolute dream to work with. I had 2 lawyers prior to Lisa and she is a cut above the rest. When my divorce began, Lisa was my first choice after a nauseating and rushed trip to El Paso (where I no longer lived) to interview several of lawyers. I, unfortunately, went with a different attorney. When the other attorney did not work out, I went back to Lisa, who had raised her rates since we... spoke. She took me at the lowered prior rate. I was pleased with her work, and she put up well with my father, who can be very demanding. When I was later sued by my ex husband - 2 more times - I hired her each time. The first lawsuit, she did fantastic. The second was an uphill battle and had a lot of twists and turns that none of us could have anticipated. Some of those unexpected curves also brought lessons that she admitted to leaning from. I don't think she could have anticipated those, and I appreciate her honest and humble assessment of what went wrong in that case. The final case was another success. In the last 6 years, I've hired Lisa 4 times - which means we have had a lot of communication over the years, and unless she is bogged down with another case, or out of town, she has by and large made time to talk to me about any concerns. We have had ups and downs, but many more ups and I think she is highly competent and listens closely. I don't recall ever having to remind her of names or details in my case, and I think that level of service is what you truly need in a high-stress family law case.
