Overwhelmed by the possible financial burden of our mother going into nursing care in El Paso, we reached out to her firm for help. Once they figured out we needed assistance with Medicaid, they suggested we go right to their resident specialist on Medicaid. In 2011-2014, I had to deal with two parents in their mid-80's who were severely demented and had made no provisions for their decline and demise. Worse, I lived in New Mexico and they lived in El Paso. In the end, Jennifer and her associates got them placed in a nursing home, resolved issues relat...ed to the cost of their care, resolved bunches of issues related to the inadequacies of their wills, checked in with the nursing home periodically to make sure they were well taken care of, and in the end enormously helped me as executor to settle their estate. Jennifer was always there immediately whenever I (in Santa Fe) was confronted with legal and medical crises. One phone call ... zip! Next day, another major headache solved, thanks to Jennifer. My only complaint is that at last contact, she still wasn't qualified to practice in law in New Mexico. Were she, I'd hire her in a minute to handle my own legal affairs as they relate to estate and eldercare issues.
