I waited 8 long years to have my boys with me and hiring Tracy was the best thing I could have done! From our initial consultation a year ago, we knew Tracy was the right lawyer for us. She genuinely cared about my boys and wanted to help get them out of the toxic environment they were living in. Watching her work in court was amazing. She hit all the key points that she needed to hit and the judge ultimately decided in our favor. I can't believe it! The judge gave custody of my boys to me, their father! In TEXAS!! We are so happy! Now my boys can be kids and live a happy, stress-free life. Thank you Tracy!
First I want to preface this review by saying I have *never* before written a negative review in my life. I never felt that compelled to publicly offer my difficult experience as a warning for others so they didn't have to go through the same. But I absolutely do now feel compelled to share why I strongly recommend AGAINST contracting Tracy Almanzan for her services. First, why do we choose a divorce lawyer? We need an expert who understands the system and how it works, who will elucidate, ease, and quicken the divorce process, ensuring all along that our interests are being represented comprehensively.
At a minimum, this requires meeting with the client (you!) to understand all the factors at play and to lay out the legal process clearly, including what will be needed at each stage and a realistic timeframe. As a client, I did not receive even these most fundamental components of a service.
My case took 10 months to resolve a simple no contest divorce, with me and my ex working amicably to legally separate. The process cost me thousands of dollars. Nobody in the Almanzan office, much less Tracy herself, met with me after a brief initial phone call before I procured their services. The office repeatedly ignored my requests to better understand the process. The office haphazardly sent requests for information. Repeatedly, ad nauseam, they got information about my case wrong including names, basic information, and details that I would clarify over and over again in email. Months later the office would ask the same question again. And again. Dragging out the process unnecessarily for months on end.
At several points when I requested to communicate my experience or be more informed about what was going on, I received rude, dismissive responses, and even a threat to drop my case at the very end before an order was completed and after I already invested massive time and money. My ex and I literally agreed to accept errors in the final divorce order because it felt too painful to continue to try to work with this office to get it right.
If you are looking to hire a lawyer who will ease the divorce process for you, do NOT hire Almanzan. At such a vulnerable time in your life, you want someone who will treat you and your case with professionalism and thought and care, and you certainly don't want the process unnecessarily dragged out for months on end at exorbitant personal cost. Good luck.

Poor communication skills
We used Tracy for our daughters adoption. This went slow but felt the pandemic played a big role in that. Contacted her to help with a name change. Had a consult appointment yesterday. I took the day off, drove down to the office arrived 15 minutes early, checked in. 5 minutes after my appointment was scheduled for I got a call saying that it was a phone consult not an in person visit appointment and that Tracy would call me soon. Its now been 29 hours later and no phone call. Its not the pandemic its poor office practices. She doesnt value her clients time.
