Meredith Jade Fillingim Nieto

I regret my decision to hire Ms. Nieto. She doesn't have an assistant, so when I called the first time to inquire, she spoke to me and never told me that she was charging me $300/hour for my initial contact. She would not speak to me further until I sent a $5,000 retainer, which I did, and she quic...kly deposited. After that, I tried to reach her by phone and email for almost a month with no success and finally requested that she return my retainer since she did no work. She claimed that she had reviewed my case and charged me HALF the retainer for invisible work and then charged me an additional $300 to "Close the file", which I believe is unethical because that would constitute administrative tasks, that do not warrant a $300/hour fee. I didn't like Meredith's cold, distant personality either. I strongly urge anyone considering her NOT to hire her.
