I have had the pleasure of practicing law for over 10 years. For my first two years of practice, I represented large national banks in collection matters and defense in theAustin and San Antonio regions. In mid-2010, I left to join Tray Payne in doing general practice including civil litigation, family law, adoptions, estate planning, probate, and guardianships, which I continue today.
During 2010-2013 I taught Business Law at the undergraduate campus of Texas Tech University. Teaching gave me the opportunity to share my love for the law and using it to solve problems (or prevent them) with students. Presently I no longer teach at the undergraduate campus, but I teach Trial Advocacy at Texas Tech University Law School. I am thrilled to be a small part of teaching new lawyers.
Since being licensed in 2008, I I have been very active in our Lubbock Area Bar Association. I have been on numerous committees, including but not limited to the committees for Lubbock County Law Library, Access to Justice, Mentoring Program, and Adoption. Moreover, I have had the honor of being the chairperson for the Adoption committee for the last three years, and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. In the fall of 2010 I was appointed to be a Board of Director for the Lubbock Area Bar Association, and I have been thrilled to get to work with other lawyers to improve our Bar association and the community.
My passion is helping people, and I love every day I get to be a lawyer and help people through being a counselor at law or a zealous advocate in the courtroom.

"Lori is a dedicated advocate. She works hard for her clients while maintaining her integrity. I highly recommend Lori."
"I have always found Lori to be an exceptional lawyer. She's knowledgeable in several areas of law and I have personally referred people to her for family law, criminal law, and probate matters. She has always given them excellent advice. I have also sought her advice on several probate and family law matters as they have related to my practice. She's one of the first lawyers I go to for feedback and her insights are always useful. If you have the opportunity to use her services, I'm sure you'll be in good hands."
"Integrity, honesty, intelligence and a never ending desire to fight for her clients best interest. I highly recommend Lori Truitt."
