I am proud to be a native Texan – my family came to Texas with Sam Houston and fought for Texas’ independence in many major battles. I have been practicing law for 35 years and I still love coming to work every day. This may be partly attributable to the fact I did not come to law at the traditional age. I was married and divorced before I was fortunate enough to attend Texas Tech Law School, and graduated in 1982.

During my marriage I managed several political campaigns in West Texas and realized that I wanted to speak out on behalf of folks who were in need.
