I am primarily a criminal trial and appellate attorney. I have tried countless felony and misdemeanor trials at every level of punishment. I have authored and argued many appeals in front of the 7th Court of appeals. In addition, I have applied for post-conviction writs of habeas corpus for citizens convicted of crimes. I have also worked to expunge records for many citizens.

Failed Advocacy

I was introduced to Mr. Keng by Lee county District courthouse in 2015 to help with alleged assault charge that occurred in Giddings state school. Mr. Kang met me on the day that I was transported to court not being made aware of charges aware I was going until I arrived. He also spoke with me about ...the alleged assault no more than 45 minutes did not show me any evidence that was used against me and made me sign all of my rights away, including the right to appeal and the right to further inspect or copy discoverable items. I was also a ward of the state I was in custody of the department family protective services. He failed to notify them, even though I was being charged as an adult. I have a paper stating that I was a juvenile when it came to the waiver of discovery. I have reason to believe that this law office is complicit with the prison pipeline associated with the Texas juvenile justice department that was exposed in recent findings by the Department of Justice. They pushback I have received when trying to look into this case has been nothing short of disgusting and it is a vile mockery of the justice that Texas stands on.

Great Lawyer in a Small Town

Mr. Keng was a great lawyer. He kept me informed about my case, and was there with advice throughout. I have had bad experiences before, but Mr. Keng was always honest and truthful about my options and I never felt like he was trying to fleece me. Highly Recommend him for any legal issue you might... have.

Relationship: Fellow lawyer in community

"I endorse this lawyer's work. Wes and I went to law school together and he was one of the brightest in our class. All of us were amazed at him being in law school as he was the youngest in the class, at least two years younger than most, and this was related to him finishing undergraduate work at an earlier age. Enough of that... if you are looking for a lawyer in the Giddings, Texas area, you definitely should call Wes."

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
