Hard Working Attorney

Mary Jones is an EXCELLENT attorney! She worked with my family on a very complex estate case where the father of my deceased nephew was unknown. Mary did extensive research on paternity and establishing paternity in the state of Texas. Her brief was amazing and I will be very surprised if that is not... taught in family law classes in years to come. At all times, Mary was responsive and very communicative, really taking the time to understand our family situation and various personalities. Mary represented us very well in court and we were able to achieve the outcome we were all hoping for. Without Mary Jones on board, I fear our case would still be languishing. I highly recommend Mary Jones. She will work very, very hard for you!

Great for complicated divorce/child custody issues

I experienced a complicated divorce. I am a mom of four children, two of whom experienced significant medical/mental health issues. My divorce required a restraining order against my husband as well as very specific order for visitation/supervision. As the divorce progressed my husband presented mor...e challenges due to his behaviors choices. These challenges were met with the support of Mary Jones who helped protect my children and myself with the appropriate court orders. At every step of the way through each newly presented challenge, Mary remained professional and was there to assist me. Divorce is never an easy choice, however, having the right attorney makes it more bearable. Mary was able to handle my very complicated divorce well and will not disappoint if you need a reliable attorney.

Personable and a Good listener.

My experience with Mary was good! She was personable and listened to me and learned about the complex issues of my failing 29-year marriage. When my ex –husband sat down on the couch and said out of the blue with a smile on his face: “I cannot see living with you for the next 30 years. When I w...as 12 years old, I made up who I wanted to be and tried to live it … but, I just cannot be that person anymore.” He just walked out and I was devastated. Mary walked along side of me and we dealt with each asset and issue individually. Added to the difficulty of my divorce was the issue of military retirement and alimony. She knew exactly what to do. When I was broken and vulnerable, she was strong and knowledgeable. It has been three years since my divorce and I am healthy and healed. I can say there are no regrets with the settlement, there is not one aspect of it that I would change – Mary looked out for me. So, sweet friend, if you find you are in need of a good lawyer, one that will be kind and yet look after your interests, then Mary Jones is the person for you. She showed me the love of Christ when I was at the lowest point – God Bless her! ~ Very Respectfully, Carolyn

Divorce attorney

Mary showed great expertise in settling the financial aspects of my divorce. It was quite complex but she brought in the right assistance and had excellent skills of her own.

Talented. Gifted. Knowing the Inner and Outer Game of Winning in Family Law

“Mary Jones was recommended to me by a well-known, recognized Austin family law attorney. This endorsement reflected confidence in Mary by her colleagues and the knowledge that she would win this high conflict and complicated divorce decisively which she did. I have come to believe that Mary is tale...nted and gifted lawyer. Over the 18 months I worked with Mary, I came to understand-though not really knowing the law-that there are outer and inner aspects to a successful case. The outer has to do with all the technical aspects of the law and knowing the minutiae such that no case is insuperable. In my case, Mary dealt with a pre-nuptial agreement executed abroad (Africa). Her brief to the judge was innovative and convincing even though she had not advocated before him prior to my case. She knows what needs to be done and will have the client working effectively on needed details and mechanics of the case right from the beginning. This non-stop drive to perfect a case insures no loss of momentum. She continually seeks improvement on the legal argument. Additionally, her court performance is dazzling. The inner aspect of the case is the work with the client; keeping client fighting and never giving up; helping him or her not to act from bad ideas or their worst instincts. This means getting to know the client well enough to make them their own best advocate. This also requires dealing with the client’s doubt, or anger or fear such that they ultimately, both client and attorney, cross the finish line as winners. In summary, one wants a situation where when the court is over an unknown bailiff spontaneously tells you that you had a ‘heck’ of a lawyer.” Mary is that kind of attorney."
