I was referred to Marshall after consulting with three other attorneys who could not or were not interested in taking on my high conflict case. Marshall, was extremely thoughtful, an empathetic listener, and direct with his thoughts on my case. In my years working with attorneys in and out of the f...amily courtroom I have found many attorneys who are not direct and straight forward, which cost me time and money with little to no gain. Marshal was the exact opposite of this. I knew I could trust Marshall and felt it was easy to communicate effectively with him. He did an emergency hearing for me only hours ahead of when I was suppose to be seeing my children for my scheduled custody. He not only won the hearing and got it thrown out he was very supportive and encouraging to me while going through a situation that was obviously very emotional for me. (This is an example of only one hearing he represented me through.) He is an out of the box thinker and takes on cases with passion and gusto. I respected and appreciated that he invested his emptions into achieving the best possible outcomes. I never left a phone conversation with Marshall without a smile on my face. I share this as any legal proceeding is always filled with high emotions and stress. It says a lot when you can hire an attorney with excellent abilities in representing your case and keep your smiling through it.

I worked with Marshall over a period of about 7 months. It was the worst time of my personal life, and I was deeply afraid of what my almost-ex was capable of as we attempted to discuss matters of custody. When the time came to negotiate, Marshall had worked so extensively with me going over the ...details and how I felt about all the decisions we'd have to make, that I felt I could trust him to do what I wanted. And actually... at the end of the day I got every. last. thing. I asked for. That's the kind of lawyer you want in your corner.

Marshall was a wonderful divorce lawyer with whom to work. Not only did he give me reasonable timelines and regular updates (even when my ex and his lawyer did NOT), one memory sticks in my head that speaks to his people skills and level of woke: after our first meeting he asked me if I would like a ...hug and reacted with grace when I said I’d like a handshake. I appreciated that he was warm and caring enough to offer, and clearly into consent and respecting boundaries enough not to go in for one without asking. Very cool.

Marshall made an incredibly anxious situation bearable. I was not prepared for everything that needed to be done in order to protect my interests and the interests of my child. He was proactive, making sure I was informed at every step and understood what we were doing and why. He helped me navigate ...the decisions I needed to make and we ended up with a favorable outcome. Marshall was kind, empathetic, and resourceful. He was patient and strategic in mediation, making me feel better about the process and understanding how these procedures typically work.
