I grew up in Austin so know the people, politics and courts. I went to Austin High School, then on to Austin College in Sherman Texas receiving a B.A. in Business and Political Science in 1982. The following year I entered the field of residential real estate, becoming a real estate salesman for J B Goodwin Realtors then another company before deciding to become an attorney. Entering South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas, in January 1985, I attended school full time while also clerking until graduating and becoming licensed in 1989. During law school, I also became a licensed real estate broker in 1987, which license I have maintained since. With a desire to help people without a lawfirm mark up, I opened my first private practice in 1990 providing both legal and real estate services. Initially this consisted mostly of real estate and collection matters. From 2007 to August 2013 I worked for the Texas Real Estate Commission assisting the State of Texas with enforcement of the Real Estate License Act through administrative proceedings and utilizing my background in the industry. After departing, I re-established a private practice with the flexibility and affordability you need. I maintain a home office and prefer to go to the client instead o you having to come to me - you have what you need there and I can lower my rate without office overhead. Let me know how I can help with your legal and real estate needs.
