Biography
Austin Kaplan is the founder of and lead attorney at Kaplan Law Firm, PLLC, an employment and civil rights boutique law firm that represents individuals.
He is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
He received national recognition for successfully suing a Texas County Clerk who refused to issue same-sex marriage licenses in 2015. In 2016 was won the Austin under 40 Lawyer and “Austinite of the Year.” He is the Past President of the Austin Young Lawyers Association, a Super Lawyer Rising Star, Super Lawyer, Texas Bar Foundation Fellow, former Austin Bar Pro Bono Committee Chair, and a past Chairperson of the City of Austin's Ethics Commission. He graduated magna cum laude with a Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois College of Law.

They worked on a discrimination case for me. An owner fired me because I became sick and was out of work for 4 months. I had 30 years with the company. It was unjust, they worked diligently on the case. It was a good outcome.
