Sarah Katherine Brandon

First off—I do not write reviews—and here I am. Sarah is not going to give you any high-pressure sales pitches to get your business, quite the contrary. Quite frankly, she probably doesn’t need your business as she has a very successful firm—and if you’re a scumbag she’s not going to take your money,... so don’t bother. She’ll tell you there are lots of good attorneys in the area as options (there are) and she’ll even refer you out based on your situation. I agree, there undoubtedly are many bright, talented, and capable attorneys in the Austin area ... however, what she won’t tell you is that she’s the one of the best. I certainly think she is, and this review is not based on the fact that “we won.” Yes, I can sleep now, knowing that my little one is safe and we did in fact “win,” but I would have recommended her firm either way and here’s why: She and her staff far exceeded my expectations in regard to preparation, review, and proactive filing. Sarah is always thinking and planning ahead and ensures an active file is properly maintained. I have seen various other attorneys’ “fall off” of a case (not pay as close attention to) the longer they are employed, but she’s not going to cease her firm’s fervent attention to a case if she’s been adequately retained, no matter how long your file is active. She’s also going to tell you she’s expensive—and there’s truth in that—but understand this…attorneys are expensive, period. Nearly any attorney is going to be expensive, and any GOOD attorney is absolutely going to be expensive, period. Was she expensive—yes—however, if only we had found her sooner, we would have saved so much money. How could this be? Because Sarah and her staff get things done. I cannot tell you how many times we’d been to court only to find out about another delay, another avoidable issue that could have been prevented or fixed with proactive filings, or plain unpreparedness of prior counsel that resulted in further expense and excessive delay. Sarah and her team are going to do the best job possible from as soon as they take on a case, until it is resolved. I did not always understand why she wanted or asked for certain things—but I am glad we heeded her advice. What I am saying is... it is in you or your child’s best interest to listen to what she tells you. I am a stubborn mule myself, and I know to shut my yapper and listen to this woman, because she knows what she’s doing (even when you might not understand the why…there IS a why). Her reputation with the court and just about anyone you’re going to run into there is truly astounding—she has clearly earned her status and is respected by everyone involved in the courts in which she practices. If you truly know you’re in the right in your situation and need a strong advocate on your side—do your best to get Sarah. If you’re a scumbag, don’t bother wasting her time—it will likely end up hurting you somehow—she seems to know everyone—ha! Finally, I cannot properly review her firm without another mention of her staff—they are all highly trained and more knowledgeable than most. Sweet, sweet, Alicia’s big heart and genuine concern for my little one (and us) kept me hanging on through the process, even when I thought I was going to lose my wits. Side note—we have an INTENSE and difficult case. I knew I could call Alicia and get a quick response and that meant so much more than she even knows. It’s not often you find a great firm, and it’s very rare you find a firm that brings the level of experience, talent, zeal, and compassion as this firm does.

Sarah was recommended to me by a friend. From the first time I spoke with her on the phone I knew that she was the attorney for me. Sarah is a very compassionate yet professional attorney. She is very geniune. I truly felt as if I had a friend by my side the entire time. Sarah and her staff were... there for me every step of the way. They not on;y were concerned about helping through the divorce but were also concerned about financial decisions that I would have to make after the divorce. Sarah is truly out for the best interest of her clients. Divorce is an emotional situation to go through and you're not always thinking clearly. Although, she never made decisions for me, it was very settling to know that she was patient and kind waiting on me to work through things. If needed though I could always count on her professional opinion. Sarah is very diligent and works extremely hard to acheive the outcome that her clients deserve. I highly reccommend Sarah and her great staff. Jenn and Jennifer both were amazing paralegals. My daughter and I were very blessed to have Sarah working on our side.

Mrs. Brandon provided me with excellent guidance and representation - and most importantly, hope and reassurance that we could achieve the goal of what was best for my son. I had discussions with other attorneys and was not comfortable with the response in relation to the best possible outcome for h...im; so in a moment of frustration and fear, Mrs. Brandon provided expertise and "hope". The end result was in my son's best interest. Mrs. Brandon came highly recommended to me - for good reason. I will add that, on every occasion, Mrs. Brandon's staff were responsive, readily available, and professional. All involved helped make a difficult, life-changing event seem more tolerable and less challenging.

I hired Sarah for the first time in July 2011 to represent me in my divorce. Sarah and her staff were professional, knowledgeable, and empathetic. Sarah's paralegals kept me informed every step of the way and ensured that I had a copy of every communication exchanged with opposing counsel. With S...arah's phenomenal guidance, we were able to settle all issues in mediation. When my ex-husband filed a petition to modify child support in late 2013, I immediately hired Sarah and her team again. Sarah was prepared for every unethical and illegal move made by opposing counsel. Sarah did not stop fighting until we won our case in 2014, and she even ensured that I was awarded a significant portion of attorney's fees. Jenn and Jennifer are great paralegals with excellent attention to detail. Sarah is a wonderful advocate for her clients. Her faith is an inspiration, and she has been a blessing to me and my children.
