Eric M. Willie

I hired Eric for my divorce case. I had previously had an attorney that wasn't following through. I was a little hesitant after my last lawyer but after initially speaking to Eric on the phone I immediately knew he was different. He had a thorough knowledge of the court system and clearly Knew what ...he was doing. He went over everything during our initial meeting about what needed to be done and we immediately set out in our plan. We attempted to do Mediation but my ex wife thought she could take me for more money (and less time withy kids) in court. Eric proved her and her attorney wrong. The case lasted a day and a half and clearly Eric knew what he was doing. While my ex wife focused on money, I focused on the kids. The judge could clearly see what they were all about and in the end we were victorious. I can't thank Eric enough for being my lawyer and friend throughout this process.

At the 2013, I hired Eric as my attorney for my divorce case. He quoted me for $5K for the case. After 1 months, he asked for $7K, then $10K, $12K, $15K. There is much progress for my case, but he was excellent at fill up hours and bills. It's hard to argue that a 2-hours task he claimed is really d...one by his assistant with a template for only 10 mins. One time he even charged me 3 hours he didn't do it at all. He told that's a place holder! I was sick of his endless billing without no progress. I fired him after 2 months of hiring. After the divorce is done, I found the attorney of the other party charged the other party for only 1/3 of the amount of Eric did, for the same case, even with higher hour rate.

Eric was very upfront and real with me from the beginning about what I could expect in my divorce and child custody case. He set my expectations and told me how we would go about the process. A detailed plan was laid out and we followed it. In the end, we were able to avoid trial and settle the ca...se in a mediation setting. I was able to keep my house and have joint custody of my two young daughters. I can't thank him enough for his guidance and expertise in my time of need.

I had to pay a retainer fee twice. The first time he received my money however couldn't do anything for me other than tell me I needed to hire another lawyer for the jurisdiction of my case and once it was transferred he could help. Well I did that, and my new attorney in another city was phenomenal.... Case got transferred and then I had to pay another retainer fee to start up the initial case I started the year before. Since then I know he went to court twice for me for certain but each time we had to file for a continuum since my ex had left the state. Since then nothing. My money is gone and I'm no better off than I was two years ago, only a lot more financially burdened. I don't feel as if my case was of any importance so I now have someone else.

After months of searching, free consultations and lots of closed doors, bad advice and an increasingly contentious child custody case, I knew I had to do something - or face possibly losing everything. I did an extensive search and stumbled upon Mr. Willie.
