Donna Ruth Stroup Peery

A Senior Associate at Tully Rinckey PLLC’s Austin office, my current practice focuses primarily on business disputes and representing clients in insurance coverage and bad faith litigation.

Prior to joining Tully Rinckey PLLC, I worked with the partners at Buchanan Grabouski, an Austin firm that focused its practice on insurance coverage counseling and litigation, as well as commercial and tort litigation. I attribute much of my success to the initial privilege of serving as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Jorge A. Solis, U.S. District Judge for the Northern District of Texas, from 1995 through 1996.

I earned my juris doctorate from Texas Tech University School of Law, graduating cum laude. While attending law school, I participated in 1L and Advanced Moot Court competitions along with participating in the Advanced Mock Trial Criminal Trial Lawyers Association and the Volunteer Law Students and Lawyers. I was honored to also serve as the Treasurer and then Justice of the Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternity.  My bachelor’s degree from Abilene Christian University focused on Business Information Systems and Quantitative Sciences.

I am licensed to practice law in Texas and in all U.S. District Courts in Texas. In addition to being a member of the State Bar of Texas, I am also a member of the Texas State Bar’s Insurance Law and Computer and Technology sections, the Austin Bar Association and its Civil Litigation Section, the Williamson County Bar Association, and MAMAs Austin.
