Candice Brown Deyerle

Candice B. Deyerle is a founding partner of Deyerle Silva Smith, PLLC and is board certified in family law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Clients with particularly complex family law issues, including divorce with businesses involved, multi-million dollar estates, privacy or publicity concerns, contested custody matters, children or parties with disabilities and/or special needs, or difficult issues such as alcoholism, drug abuse, addiction, mental health disorders, or personality disorders involved particularly benefit from Candice’s expertise. From the initial consultation, she will listen to and thoughtfully evaluate the facts of your case and work with you to develop a case plan with individualized goals of what you want to accomplish. With her specialized knowledge and experience in the courtroom, she’s able to provide exceptional legal advice for each client’s unique case. Since being licensed in 2010, she has a long track record of success and has successfully tried several jury and non-jury matters as lead counsel. Present and past clients of Candice consistently praise her for her responsiveness, dedication to their cases, and successful results.

While Candice has built a reputation of litigating excellent results for her clients in court, she knows that for many clients, a courtroom is the last place they want to end up in their divorce or custody dispute. It was for this reason that Candice completed mediation training through the A.A. White Dispute Resolution Center and is a certified mediator. With this training and negotiation skills, she has been able to reach amicable resolutions outside of court for numerous clients when appropriate.

Candice was born in Austin, Texas and lived there until moving to College Station to attend Texas A&M University. After graduating magna cum laude from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and minor in Business, she moved to Houston to study law. Candice earned her Doctorate of Jurisprudence from the University of Houston Law Center and was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2010. In addition, she became Board Certified in family in 2016 by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. She is licensed to practice law in all state courts throughout Texas.

From 2009 to 2017, Candice worked at a premier family law firm in Houston, Texas handling complex property and custody matters. In 2017, she joined and became a partner at another family law firm in Austin specializing in family law matters. In 2023, Candice established Deyerle Silva Smith, PLLC so that she could continue to provide to clients exceptional legal services as a managing partner and owner.

In addition to practicing family law, Candice enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.
