I hired Ms. Godwin during a fairly heated custody case. She explained the process to me thoroughly and even though she had some personal things going on, she still fought for the best interest of me and my child. She didn't have to do half of the things she did, but she let me know what I deserved an...d worked hard to make sure everything turned out fairly for both parties. She answered my phone calls and emails in a timely manner and let me know every next step. At the end of everything, I almost forgot she was my lawyer because she treated me more like a friend than a client. As someone who has no experience using a lawyer for a situation like this, she put my mind at ease. Heather represented my ex-wife in a custody dispute. I couldn't have asked for a better attorney for my attorney to easily walk all over. She files nonsensical motions, rapid-fire, presumably to burn up the retainer faster. Her credentials appear to be in corporate law, and the fact she's accepting d...ivorce cases is a shame. She's unprofessional, unprepared, and long past time to find another career path.
