Dario Bargas Jr.

I hired Bargas to help me close a painful, prolonged, complicated estate case. At first he seemed very supportive, but then all he did was complicate my case, conspire with opposition counsel and when I confronted him about not addressing the goals we had agreed upon initially, he became rude, verbal...ly abusive and threatened to withdraw. He kept pushing to go into litigation. Thank God someone in his office told me that they overheard him say excitedly that, "This is a $10k case!" He does not care about his clients at all.

Hired one of his associates working for his firm off Craigslist. Halfway through my divorce that attorney quit. I got a nast letter from Bargas telling me, and misspelling it I might add, that it was a paltry sum and he did authorize the amount I paid. Then he stalled me finally appointed another ass...ociate to assist she started to help me then she quit. All I needed was the divorce decree and the final appearance but Bargas wrote a nasty email again complaining about the amount I paid then told me they would have the decree to me in three weeks. Six weeks later I got the decree full of misspelled words and mistakes and he wrote me another email saying that he would have a court date set but I would have to pay for the attorneys time and expenses to appear. When I refused he accused me of taking advantage of him and his good will and said he withdraws from my case. Be very wary of any promises or money you pay him because you may never get your services.

I hired Mr. Bargas on 8/2017 to finalize a divorce that I was Pro Se on. I needed help with the discovery documents requested from the opposing counsel. I paid him $1000 to finish the case. He was very unprofessional from day 1 and that should have been a warning sign. He does not return calls or ema...ils. Typically returns text with a one word answer. He uses the excuse of him having a medical condition or a sick relative as reasons why he can't meet with you. I had several meetings scheduled and he either didn't show up or just canceled. His staff would text me and tell me to come see one of his other attorneys. The 3 times I went in to talk to the other attorneys, they had no clue who I was or why I was there. He withdrew from my case when I asked about a payment plan for additional charges that he charged. He said the charges were from all the work he's been doing on my case. It is 1/31/18 and I am now pro se, again. After talking to opposing counsel, Mr. Bargas never sent the documents that he was suppose to from months ago. Run away from this attorney!!
