worst experience ever

If you are facing a hardship and looking for a Bankruptcy lawyer do not, do not, do not pick this law firm. If you are looking to keep you assets do not, do not...I repeat do not pick this law firm. I have never in my life been treated so poorly. Susan and her team are very unprofessional and condesc...ending. I have emails in which I asked for clarification and received a response from Susan herself and I quote "I know that you are not that stupid?". There is more but you get the picture. I was stunned to stay the least. When I spoke up for myself( respectfully I might add) she did not take too kind to it and threatened to drop me as a client after almost 2 years under the chapter 13 process and all money paid to her firm. Every time I sent an email regarding my case it would go ignored. Every time I called the office to speak to Susan or her paralegal I would received the run around and would practically had to beg for a call back or a meeting. On several occasions it was suggested that I sell my property which was the main reason seeking assistance from Ms. Taylor. After calling me stupid the next day or so I spoke with Susan which she appeared to have a change of heart and different tune she left me with the impression that she would continue assist me during the process since the fees have already been paid and I was about 2 years into this thing. I recently lost my job and she said a lot of nasty things pertaining to my financial situation. When I first meet with her paralegal I was told to report any changes to my income. My loss of employment was unforeseen I contacted them immediately. I was told that if I lost my income at anytime that I would be able to file a temporary moratorium (extension) until I found employment but that turned out not to be the case. I was told that I would still have to make payments but they would submit the request to the trustee. During that conversation I was advised to sale again. I said that I did not want to. I received an email from the firm stating that anyone that was affected by the pandemic could apply for a moratorium. I sent an email asking if this was the same thing I requested to be filled a week prior and still to this day no reply. I checked my mail and it appears that she indeed did file to cancel me as a client. I feel like she has tried to set me up for failure and her lack of professionalism is unbelievable. It is my understanding that the extension was never submitted on my behalf. She can be intimidating and you can tell it has rubbed off on her staff. It's like she has given them permission to disrespect me and belittle me at the same time. I will not be intimidated and I will not sale or loss my home. If you are a minority I strongly urge you to seek counsel somewhere where you money, time and dignity will be appreciated.

DO NOT ENGAGE - short staffed and incompetent

Do not hire this lawyer. Hired her to do a means test. She calls a week later to say I would have to do Ch 13 and pay $1,500 a month. When asked about means test, we discovered it was fraught with errors. She said she would fix and call back, and never heard back from her. When I called, she was... rude, and saying she was short staffed and that I am being hurt by anything. How wrong she was while I was getting nasty threatening calls from creditors whom I owe $80,000. How could she say this, how can she look herself in the mirror. DO NOT HIRE THIS LAWYER

Susan Taylor

This person simply wasn't hearing what he wanted to hear. Yes, he's $80,000 or more in debt. And, at his income level simply doesn't qualify for Ch. 7. He would end up paying all of it back over a 5 year period in a Ch. 13, probably. The huge ERROR of which he is speaking is that we initially included an additional month in calculations. I caught it immediately & said we'd need to recalculate. HE HAS SIX STREAMS OF INCOME, so that wasn't easy. And the answer didn't change (my initial estimate was correct). Nothing was filed. There was no harm. I am well-staffed (full-time paralegal & 2 part-time receptionists/aides) & quite competent (I practice only bankruptcy & file as many as anyone in the entire Western District, from San Antonio to Waco). He's angry because he couldn't bully me into a refund; he indicated initially he might go a different route but wanted means test numbers.
