Rola Daaboul

Rola Daaboul is an associate attorney and seasoned litigator at Reed & Scardino. Rola’s experience in representing businesses and individuals spans a vast area of civil litigation, including complex commercial litigation and business torts, securities, professional malpractice, employment and entertainment litigation. Recognizing that litigation is an exhausting, demanding and expensive exercise in endurance, Rola focuses on cost-effective pre-litigation techniques to identify strengths and weaknesses and develop strategies that efficiently accomplish client objectives and mitigate future risk while minimizing legal fees. Providing valuable counsel is not limited to simply informing clients of the intricacies of their case, it is important that interruptions to clients’ businesses and lives are kept to a minimum. Rola strives to establish and maintain client relationships built on trust and dependability and aims to keep her clients at ease throughout the litigation process.

Having successfully handled disputes from beginning to end in state and federal courts of various levels, Rola brings an innate passion for advocacy to the courtroom. Representative matters include:

• as part of a team of litigators, represented plaintiffs in professional malpractice suits against securities brokers, banks and law firms in highly publicized Ponzi scheme litigation
• represented bar owners in professional malpractice suit against law firm
• represented landlords and tenants in various breach of lease suits
• provided numerous businesses with pre-litigation risk assessment and analysis regarding employee compensation and job descriptions under The Fair Labor Standards Act and The Consumer Credit Protection Act
• defended large rotary drilling company against employee EEOC claims
• represented business shareholders in suit involving violations of the Texas Property Code, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract and conversion claims
• spearheaded the review and analysis of voluminous documents for a mobile start-up company involved in trade secret litigation

Rola is the co-author of the legal textbook Cases and Materials in Entertainment Litigation and aided in the development of the curriculum and final exam currently used for South Texas College of Law’s Entertainment Law Course. She occasionally guest lectures on various copyright and trademark litigation topics at South Texas College of Law. In addition, Rola authored the Entity Representative Deposition brief featured in the Texas Bar’s 35th Annual Advanced Civil Trial Course.

Rola is an avid runner, biker and kickboxing enthusiast. She has also been heavily involved in the underground music scene and has played guitar, bass, keyboards and vocals for a number of bands.

Rola received her J.D. with Pro Bono Honors from South Texas College of Law in 2010 where she also competed in mock trial and moot court competitions. She received her Bachelors of Arts in Philosophy and a Minor in Biology from the University of Texas at Austin in 2006.
