We recommend Paul Parsons’s Office / read why.

Why going for a Law Firm? There are many reasons to choose to work with a law firm when starting an immigration process to the USA, and since I believe everybody has a personal reason, I can only speak of my own experience and am writing this because it might be useful for someone else as well. Any i...mmigration process is a highly bureaucratic process, and we decided to work with a law firm since it would help us organize the massive number of documents (many that are not clearly explained in the USCIS website) and because we have a handful of friends who all said that you really should have a lawyer for USA immigration. Why Paul Parsons Office? We read dozens of reviews (Google and Yelp) for an Austin, Texas based immigration lawyer and all the roads pointed to Paul Parsons’s Office. The reviews were great and we went for it. They did not disappoint, they are honest, thorough about the documents they need in order to organize your case (they make sure you do not forget any detail in preparing the documents) and they were there for us in every aspect of the journey in getting our materials in order to present a flawless case and that helps not only you but the US department as well since they would have everything they need to evaluate your case. Human Aspect. This kind of process can be highly difficult since you and your life can be under severe scrutiny, but Paul Parsons’s staff is great. They humanize the process, you feel like more than a case number, more like that they know you (and they do). I would like to extend a special thanks for Paul's Paralegal Daniel who was incredibly patient, competent and friendly, Daniel truly made the experience a pleasure. Cultural Awareness. For me, one of the most important facts that can make the experience in introducing yourself to a new culture in a process like this is working with someone that is aware of your own culture. Paul Parson’s Office knows and understands the multiple aspects of the Latin culture and that makes a huge difference. Do we recommend Paul Parsons’s Office? 100%. Go for it, you will not be disappointed. Flávia & Tyler Brazil & USA

So glad to have used this team.

Paul Parsons and his team have been wonderful in assisting me through my permanent residency process. They took a difficult time and made it worry free , at all stages they explained the procedure and instilled nothing but confidence in me. 2 thumbs up!

Reliable and Trust Worthy Attorney

I highly recommend Mr. Parsons and his team to handle your immigration case. Unlike an attorney that I had before (who I could never find when I needed), Mr. Parson or his team always communicated with me. They always answered my emails within 24 hours or less, or called me back when I had questions.... Also, the fact that his office has not changed locations, that they called me if there were changes or contacted me to give me updates save me a lot of time and lower my stress. I had to hunt down my previous attorney from office to office every time I needed to renew my work permit. In the past, I was nervous and panicking wondering if I would be able to find that other attorney before the due date for my application. Luckily as I searched for a new attorney I found Mr. Parson. He is someone who I could entrust with my immigration paper work and that has reasonable fees. During the time he worked on my case he was very professional and cordial. He explain the requirements, the process, and the cost very clearly. In his explanation, he gave me a very realistic time line about how long it would take for my application to be processed. His predictions were very accurate during the 4 years that he managed my case. The only time he was off track, I was pleasantly surprise to receive my “green card” ahead of what he had predicted. Above all, I recommend him because he has always been reliable and honest. Some lawyers may try to trick you or snare you into applying for things that are not possible. From the beginning Mr. Parsons was very clear about my case and what my options were to become a U.S resident. I am very thankful for the care and respect in which he handle my case and they way he treated me. (Please overlook my grammatical errors and do not let my lack of mastery of the English language interfere with the message I tried to convey.)

Review for Dr. Paul Parsons

I had the great pleasure of being advised by Dr. Paul Parsons during my Green Card Application Process. Dr. Parsons was really supportive during the entire application, and took the time to personally contact the Immigration Office over the phone to speed up our Case Approval. I was completely satisf...ied by the professionalism of Dr. Parsons. He always replied quickly and candidly to the questions that my Wife and I had during our Case Evaluation. I remember Dr. Parsons emailing us on weekends and holidays with thoughtful explanations and updates. I can certify that he provides a world-class support for Immigration Cases. He pays careful attention to details and patiently clarifies the long-term issues affecting immigrants who decide to live, study and work in the US.

A response to an April review

As the Executive Director of Immigration Counseling and Outreach Services, I was shocked and saddened to come across a negative review of Paul that mentioned ICOS and compared his law office to our non-profit. He has supported a variety of non-profit organizations in Austin which serve immigrants fo...r more 25 years with both his time and his money. He has served as a volunteer on non-profit boards for years. I write to him or call him for his opinion when I'm presented with a difficult case and know that he always welcomes an opportunity to help. He has been an important resource for us and very generous with his time. He has never requested any payment for his services to ICOS and has consistently encouraged me to feel free to communicate with him. Once when he and I had spoken to a church group, he sat down to answer individual questions. I wondered how late we may need to be there, having car-pooled, because he didn't rush anyone. He carefully and respectfully answered each question. Before I became an Accredited Representative, but while working for a non-profit, Paul explained to me pro bono how the law related to a situation in my own family. He has served individual clients pro bono with complex asylum cases. His fees are not excessive at all for a law office. A non-profit such as ICOS is able to (and expected to) assist for a nominal fee; we have grant funding, volunteers, donations. We exist to serve low income persons and refer those above our income guidelines to lawyers. Paul has always been on our referral list of about ten attorneys. It appears to me that he refers low income persons to non profits. A law office is not an inexpensive operation and must be funded by client fees. Anyone who needs legal services should value that assistance as much as any possession like a car or a house. While some are eligible for subsidized housing, for example, many are not and simply pay for it.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
