Katherine Mendiola

Katherine Mendiola joined Germer as an associate in 2018. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley where she earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and English in 2010. Katherine obtained her J.D. from Texas Tech University School of Law in 2017.

During law school, Katherine was an articles editor and staff member for the Texas Tech Law Review and Lt. Governor for Pro Bono Projects for the American Bar Association. Additionally, she served as Chair for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program for the Thirteenth Circuit of the American Bar Association.

Katherine served as a Judicial Intern for the 13th Court of Appeals under Justice Dori Contreras and the United States Bankruptcy Court under Judge Eduardo Rodriguez. She served as a law clerk and undergraduate intern with Texas Rio Grande Legal Aid and a congressional intern for the Office of Congressman Henry Cuellar in 2011. She served as a legislative aide and law clerk for the 82nd and 85th legislative sessions, respectively. She practiced in the Rio Grande Valley at Cowen & Garza LLP before joining Germer as an associate in 2018.

Katherine practices in the areas of civil litigation, construction law, insurance law, and personal injury defense.
