Jason Bartlett McMinn

Jason McMinn is the founding attorney of McMinn Law Firm, which he started in 2005 after several years practicing insurance defense at a large Fort Worth firm. That background shapes how he handles cases today; he's seen how insurance companies build their defense, and he uses that knowledge on behalf of the people they're defending against.

Jason represents clients injured in car accidents, truck accidents, motorcycle accidents, pedestrian accidents, and other personal injury matters throughout Austin and Central Texas, as well as Salt Lake City. He prepares every case as though it will go to trial, which means investigating the facts early rather than waiting to see what the insurance company offers.

Since founding the firm, Jason and his team have recovered more than $500 million for injured clients. He was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2013 and is a member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association. He also serves as an ambassador for the Texas Center for Legal Ethics, an organization focused on holding attorneys' conduct to a high standard.

Jason grew up in Central Texas, earned his business degree from the University of Texas at Austin (where he also played baseball for the Longhorns) and his law degree from Texas Tech University. He and his wife, Heather, live in the Austin area with their four children. Outside the office, he coaches his kids' T-ball team and remains active in the local community, including supporting organizations that work with children in foster care.
