Ian Barton Inglis

I am a criminal defense attorney in the Austin metropolitan area. I am licensed to practice in Texas state courts. I practice primarily in Travis and Williamson counties, representing the residents of Austin, Round Rock, Georgetown, Cedar Park, Leander, Pflugerville, and surrounding communities. I am board certified in criminal law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

I represent people charged with all sorts of criminal offenses, from misdemeanors to serious felonies, including:

In association with a driving while intoxicated case, I can request an administrative license revocation hearing and provide representation at the hearing in an effort to prevent the suspension of driving privileges. If the driver's license is suspended, I can file for an occupational driver's license. I also can file for an expunction of criminal records following a dismissal or acquittal of a case, and can petition for an order of nondisclosure of criminal records upon completion of a deferred adjudication probation.

After graduating from the University of Texas Law School with honors in 1978, I worked as a briefing attorney and research attorney at the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals, the highest appellate court in the state criminal justice system. In 1981, I began my law practice. In 1987, I received my certification in criminal law from the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. I practice criminal law exclusively.
