Biography
MY BELIEFS: I belive too many people are charged with crimes they did not commit or they are over-chaged with a crime more serious than they may have committed, and punishment can be arbitrary and sometimes cruel and unncecssary. Police are enjoying unbridled freedoms to investigate, stop people, arrest people without probable cause. I know that the criminal defense lawyer is usually the only friend someone accused of a crime has within the legal system. That is a serious and personal responsibility that I take as seriously as I take my life itself. I am honest, I work very, very hard, and my fees are very reasonable. I have had good success in my career. I was born and raised on a ranch in southeast Texas and I know what honesty and hard work is. I attended the University of Texas and the University of Texas School of Law. I am admitted to practice in three states, Texas, Montana and South Dakota. I have had over 1,000 jury trials and at least 25 appeals to the highest courts in states I have practiced in, plus the federal courts. I fight for my clients.
