I see the law as a way to try to create fairness.
That’s what drives me in the often hostile environment of negotiating claims, litigation and dispute resolution - the idea that at the end I can help my clients achieve a sense of justice through the work I do. As a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, I am committed to preserving our judicial system for future generations, preserving the independence of judges, and elevating the standards of integrity, honor, ethics, civility and courtesy in the legal profession.
When I’m working with a client, I like to look at the situation from angles that others may miss and to imagine all of the possible scenarios and outcomes. I enjoy mediation and believe that an attorney can help achieve a client’s goals through tough negotiation. I also believe that there are times when taking a case to a jury is the way to realize justice.
I think one of the best things a lawyer can do for a client is to look him or her in the eye and give an honest opinion of the strength of their claims and whether it is in their best interest to negotiate or go to trial.
