Not Prepared for Trial

My lawyer failed to tell me what his plan was in defending my position. He went a week after disposition without responding to or acknowledging my emails, which then made him late to contact opposing council to work out any arrangements that would benefit me and my case. He was very “mouse like” an...d quiet in court even when he was being spoken to. He did not show any authority that he knew what he was talking about but rather just nodded yes to the other councils wishes. He was as not prepared for my case on the day of but had another hearing that lasted through the day and pushed mine to another day causing a lot of tention. He over billed me for the day he was with another client even though he never had my case read that day. I will be filing a complaint with the state bar.

Great Attorney

Mr. Harris helped me with my custody case. He always kept me in the loop and was understanding. Got my baby back.

Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter

"I had the opportunity to work with Chris as opposing counsel on a case this past year, and found that he always tried to do the right thing by his client and all parties involved. He was professional, reasonable, and easy to work with throughout. I endorse Chris and would gladly work with him or against him on a case in the future."

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
