I am so thankful I hired Lori Watson to handle my divorce after 18 years of marriage. What should have taken a few months, took over a year to finalize. I trusted Ms. Watson to give me good counsel and to fight for my interests and my children's interests, especially since I have a severely disabled child. She told me that going to mediation would be the best option. At mediation, my x-husband's attorney ran the show, and Ms. Watson literally never... fought for a single thing that we had previously discussed. One of the things I wanted was to remain in the house for as long as I could, possibly 6 years until my youngest graduated from high school, before I had to pay out half of the value of the house to my X or sell. Instead, she worked against me trying to convince me that I should just try to get a loan and pay him out in 18 months even though she knew I had a 2 year old bankruptcy. My kids and I would have ended up on the streets in 18 months if I had listened to her. I ended up having to hold my ground as best as I could on my own to get 4 years, but not without Ms. Watson allowing the other side to take away part of my standard child support for those 4 years. What was in the best interest of my children and my ability to provide for them was never even brought up. I was convinced to sign off on everything at mediation, so I never even had a chance to go before a reasonable judge. I received the worst representation ever, and I would not recommend Ms. Watson to anyone.

I was referred by my boss to contact Lori . Going through a divorce for the very first time , I didn't know what to expect or even how to start the process.
