James Clinton Winters

James C. Winters is a seasoned criminal trial lawyer with a robust educational background and extensive experience as a prosecutor.
He graduated from the University of Texas School of Law in 2013, where he honed his trial advocacy skills, preparing himself for a career in criminal law. During his time in law school, he received the Dean’s Achievement Award in Texas Criminal Procedure: Pretrial for earning the highest grade in the class. He was also a staff editor for the American Journal of Criminal Law and a member of the interscholastic mock trial team, earning election into the prestigious Order of Barristers. His commitment to trial advocacy was further recognized with a scholarship for excellence in the field.

Before law school, James graduated magna cum laude from Hofstra University with a B.A. in Political Science and minors in Speech, Communication, and Rhetorical Studies, as well as Legal Studies in Business. He was also a Division 1 college athlete during his undergraduate years.
