EXCELLET law firm

I have used Ranney Law several times, and Doug and his team consistently stay on top of everything. Mr. Ranney always puts in his best effort to reduce my charges and achieve the best possible outcome for my case. His staff is professional, courteous, and knowledgeable about my situation. You can tru...st that they genuinely care about you.

Got a DWI dismissed in Williamson County

I was charged with a DWI (I refused giving arresting officers breath test and was not asked for blood work for BAC). Mr. Ranney got me into the PTI (Pre-Trial Intervention Program) which once completed the charge is dismissed. The PTI program is a guilty charge if you do not complete program without ...violation. You will have a breathalyzer in your care for 6 months, 40 hours community service, MADD class, complete a class/work book (approximately 4 weeks). Take random UAs.. I was only required to take one. I violated my breathalyzer in my car several (3-4 times) a little over a week before I completed the 6 months. Mr. Ranney was able to still get the DWI dismissed since I was so close to completing the program. I would absolutely recommend him to others. Also, his office staff is always very helpful!

Amazing lawyer!!

I was charged with a few crimes and yes I had made those mistakes. Hired a different lawyer who just talked a good game but didn't deliver. I came in and hired Doug. He worked for months on my cases -- and got them ALL dropped. I walked away clean and put my life back together. He was the man. Lotta... gratitude from me.

Great person, great lawyer

Doug is not your typical lawyer who takes your case, your money and doesn't care afterwards. He made my husband and I feel like top priority and got my husband an almost unheard of deal. He even called him back at 11pm ion a Friday night to answer a question we had. Top notch guy. Makes you feel l...ike a friend and believes in you. Will recommend to anyone EVER needing an attorney.

REALLY good lawyer

He has represented me and (now) some people I know. This guy is tough as can be, and has gotten great deals. He went the extra mile for me and seemed to really care about his cases. He's not the oldest lawyer I've dealt with before, but the others have not been even close to as good this guy.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
