James Kay Larsen

James is the Founder and Managing Attorney at Larsen Immigration Law, bringing over fifteen years of experience as an immigration attorney. He previously served as Senior Employment Counsel at Farmer Law PC and Of Counsel at Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, an Am Law 100 firm. In 2014, James moved to Texas to join Foster LLP, the largest immigration law firm in the state. His legal career began in Iowa in 2008 as a law clerk at the Benrard Firm PLC, where he helped secure visas for hundreds of agricultural workers.

James has worked with businesses to address labor shortages, assisting farmers nationwide with the H-2A temporary agricultural worker program, positioning construction and landscaping companies for success with the H-2B program, guiding multinational companies on intracompany transfers of executives and specialized knowledge personnel using the L-1 visa, and developing comprehensive employment-based green card sponsorship strategies.

For families, James has helped U.S. citizens sponsor their spouses for green cards, filed naturalization applications, successfully defended vulnerable family members from deportation, and secured asylum for individuals fleeing persecution.
