Horrible Waste of Time and Money!

This man was such a horrible lawyer and person. It was from the moment he got or money that he started being awful. The first issue was he took 8 months to get the other party served. During that time we would attempt to call him and would get a lady who only spoke Spanish and would hang up on us. We... had to call from a different number than our own and then someone would answer and put us through. We finally solved this problem when we got his personal cell phone number. Then we had court on April 16, on April 4th the other party filed a motion for discovery, he filed one in response. Not only did he not communicate this with us, he also put such stupid harassing type questions in there. I should mention we live 1350 miles away so we were driving down for the court case. It was on Wednesday, he called us Monday to finally tell us about the motion for discovery and letting us know that the date would be continued and we didn't need to show up if we didn't want to. We were already down in Texas, so obviously we were coming at that point anyways. We went to court and he sits there and let's the other party's attorney say untrue things about us without saying a word, he tells is "now isn't the time to get into that". We understood that it wasn't the time to totally get into that, but by him not saying anything says to the judge it was in fact true. He was a total push over in court, the other person didn't let him get a word in and he surely didn't try. He was pathetic and we could have done better ourselves. We then go word from the other party a few months later a week before the next court date, that they were ready to make a deal. At this point he asks for another thousand dollars and when we weren't able to come up with it that day he filed a motion to withdraw from the case saying that he wasn't able communicate with us properly. He knew we wouldn't be able to get down there by Monday to dispute it basically leaving us without an attorney 3 days before our court date. He didn't respond when we told him we had the money for him. He also went out of his way to make sure we didn't get notice of the motion he sent it to the old address and to an alternative email instead of my husbands. Do not hire this incompetent immoral jerk. How he passed the bar is beyond me.
