Biography
Experienced Attorney Humberto Tijerina III started the Tijerina Legal Firm, P.C., as a law firm that is to be client focused and which assists people that have been injured and/or wronged by others.
After gaining experience and knowledge in various Texas cities, Mr. Tijerina, a valley native, decided to return to the Rio Grande Valley to apply his legal knowhow and help the under privileged and/or individuals that didn’t have the resources to defend themselves against large insurance or corporate interests. Today, Mr. Tijerina strives to achieve justice for those that do not have the means to spend thousands on hiring an attorney who will work by the hour. Instead, Mr. Tijerina, in most instances, will work cases on a contingency basis, which means that the client doesn’t have to pay the attorney unless the attorney is successful in recovering any amounts for the client.
Five years prior to establishing the Tijerina Legal Firm, P.C., Mr. Tijerina was a founding member of Begum, Tijerina and Willis, L.L.C., a multi-disciplinary law practice, also focusing in representing people who suffered injuries, along with representing the business community in starting business entities, negotiating business contracts and litigating business disputes.
Prior to establishing Begum, Tijerina and Willis, Mr. Tijerina worked in the corporate department of Cox and Smith Incorporated, where he focused mainly on legal matters involving general business transactions. Mr. Tijerina also promoted the firm’s interests abroad, particularly in Mexico, by speaking at seminars presented to Mexican entrepreneurs and corporations on the legal aspects of doing business in the United States.

DO NOT TRUST ATTORNEY TIJERINA
I NEVER met Tijerina!! I NEVER talked to Tigerina!! He was always out of the office and NEVER returned my phone calls. I had a car accident in May 2012 and it took this law firm 3 years to settle my case! This guy took my settlement and not once did I meet him.

Replied last June 25, 2015Dear Juan, If you are a previous client of my firm, and not some competitor or disgruntled employee, I would like to find out more about your experience. My firm prides itself in being a community focused law firm that has, as its priority, ensuring that clients meet their attorney. I personally believe it is a client's right to meet with their attorney. Additionally, your statement "this guy took my settlement" implies that we settled your case and kept your money. This is a wrongful accusation. At this Firm, when a settlement is reached, and the client agrees to the settlement amount, we meet with our client and explain: the total settlement amount, what expenses were incurred on the case, and after the client's approval, we provide them with their settlement check. There is FULL TRANSPARENCY with our clients. Your statement does not ring true considering our business practices and safeguards to ensure clear transparency with our clients. Should any of this be true, I would like to personally meet with you, review your case (to find out if this was some sort of an anomaly), and clear up any confusion if any. For your troubles, I would gladly extend a $150.00 dinner voucher for you to use with your loved ones, at any restaurant in the Valley. I look forward to hearing from you. Stay away from Señor Tijerina
This person never kept his word. Throughout our case, which dealt with my mother being injured by a drunk driver, this lawyer was incompetent, to say the least.
