Biography
I have spent my entire career in Nueces County criminal courts. While I was still in high school in Corpus Christi, I interned in the Nueces County Attorney's Office and the Nueces County District Attorney's Office and competed in Mock Trial. After graduating from Mary Carroll High School with honors, I earned my B.A. in English and Sociology from Washington & Jefferson College in 2003 and my J.D. from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law in 2009.
I started my legal career in 2010 as an Assistant District Attorney in Nueces County, where I prosecuted misdemeanor and felony cases for seven years. In 2017 I moved to the defense side as a founding partner of Cassidy & Delgado, and then of Cassidy, Delgado & Olivarez. In February 2024 I opened my solo practice, William Patrick Delgado Attorney at Law, where every client works directly with me.
My practice is exclusively criminal defense in Nueces County state courts. I represent privately retained and court-appointed clients in DWI, domestic violence, drug possession, theft, white collar, probation revocation, and other misdemeanor and felony matters. Having sat on both sides of the courtroom in the same county for more than fifteen years, I know how local cases are charged, negotiated, and tried — and I explain what comes next at every step.
