I had a complex large civil litigation matter already pending in a District Court in the area. The case was coming to trial and it was evident to me that the trial aspect required a different type of lawyer. Over a period of many weeks I observed every serious civil attorney in Sinton and Rockport an...d sadly was greatly disappointed in what I found. On the recommendation of an area business person I finally went to watch Mr. Thomas in action. This man is a natural in the courtroom. The jury loved him and when he had to get mean he was pure bulldog. Don't let all of the criminal law stuff fool you. This guy is a natural litigator whether criminal, civil or divorce. He came on board in my civil case which then went to trial. While not disclosing too much, our claim was on a promissory note which was for more than $3,000,000.00. On the morning of the second day, after he finished with the two principal defendants, they asked for a recess and the matter settled within an hour. At that point they were dead and they, and their attorney, knew it.

2 years ago, I came to Joel Thomas with a case of great personal importance. I wont go into detail, because it was an extremely personal and private matter. I will say, however, I thought it ws an all but helpless case, and i was shocked with what Mr. Thomas was able to do for me. He treated me like... i was a respected friend, and he was able to win the hearts of the judge and jury with my story, and the price for his service was very fair. I would definately trust this attorney a second time. However, i was a bit disappointed with the amount of info given to me during the process of the case, but the outcome was amazing.
