Do NOT recommend

Mrs. Scott was hired to represent my husband & I in our divorce proceedings. Even though we had agreed that she would be working for both of us, as my husband and I wanted to go forward with an amicable divorce and had agreed on everything prior to hiring Mrs. Scott, Mrs. Scott gave my husband ill ad...vice that had negative consequences and made things more complicated for my husband and I. These negative experiences could have been avoided had Mrs. Scott had not given my husband damaging advice aimed to be hurtful towards me. For example, a particular residence was awarded to me including keys, escrow funds, etc. For example, Mrs. Scott advised my husband not to surrender the escrow funds to me even after the judge signed the order. She is not trust-worthy, never returns phone calls, and makes promises she doesn't have any intention in honoring. Don't waste your money with her.

My Divorce Lawyer

This lawyer stole my money and did marginal work on my behalf. She quit on me (withdrew herself as my lawyer) after she took my money then sent me a bill for another $2K. I filed a complaint with the State Bar of Texas and she never tried to collect on the bogus bill she sent me. She was just tryi...ng to justify the theft of my money to herself. The most worthless lawyer I have ever come across.

Amazing!

I'm so grateful to have Ms Scott as my attorney. She was so supportive and knowledgable on my situation. She was never afraid to enforce what was RIGHT & what was in my best interest. She gave me more than I can ever ask for... My daughter and PEACE of mind! My divorce became a day of celebration and... new beginnings. I highly recommend Ms Scott to anyone who is looking for an attorney who will FIGHT for them and have their best interest at her forefront. Her wisdom is what makes her the BEST!

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
