Excellent Work

Margaret was an excellent attorney who helped and advised me in a very difficult situation. I was going through a rough divorce and child custody case. She answered every phone call I made even during her time off and if she didnt answer she was always quick to call back. She also kept me calm and al...ways reassured me when I was worried. She was able to win my case and I now have custody of my children thanks to her. Highly recommend this attorney. She is well worth it.

Do NOT recommend

Mrs. Scott was hired to represent my husband & I in our divorce proceedings. Even though we had agreed that she would be working for both of us, as my husband and I wanted to go forward with an amicable divorce and had agreed on everything prior to hiring Mrs. Scott, Mrs. Scott gave my husband ill ad...vice that had negative consequences and made things more complicated for my husband and I. These negative experiences could have been avoided had Mrs. Scott had not given my husband damaging advice aimed to be hurtful towards me. For example, a particular residence was awarded to me including keys, escrow funds, etc. For example, Mrs. Scott advised my husband not to surrender the escrow funds to me even after the judge signed the order. She is not trust-worthy, never returns phone calls, and makes promises she doesn't have any intention in honoring. Don't waste your money with her.

My Divorce Lawyer

This lawyer stole my money and did marginal work on my behalf. She quit on me (withdrew herself as my lawyer) after she took my money then sent me a bill for another $2K. I filed a complaint with the State Bar of Texas and she never tried to collect on the bogus bill she sent me. She was just tryi...ng to justify the theft of my money to herself. The most worthless lawyer I have ever come across.

Oustanding Lawyer. Head and shoulders above the rest.

Margaret Scott is an absolute God send. I was dragged through the worst divorce imaginable. My ex-wife is the secretary for a well known San Antonio Attorney (well known for her horrible, unethical law etiquette). This attorney did everything she could come up with to all but throw me in jail. Wh...en the divorce began I hired on an attorney which was recommended to me by a relative. Huge Mistake! After several months of watching my attorney get beat up and turn tail, I found Margaret A Scott. I explained my situation to her and shortly thereafter Mrs. Scott was in my corner defending me from outrageous attacks, and winning on my behalf. Margaret is an extremely intelligent, feisty, savvy, attorney with a heart. During the duration of my very emotional and stressful times, I let the anger and frustrations of divorce cloud my judgment. Margaret walked beside me the whole way. Protecting me and advising me. The opposing attorney was known for dragging out legal cases as long as possible, and drowns opposition in paperwork with the intent of forcing a settlement. Margaret A. Scott never threw in the towel. She fought for my rights and I got the justice that I deserved, thanks to her. I highly recommend Margaret A. Scott

Divorce Lawyer

Margaret Scott is our divorce lawyer and has been so extremely helpful in explaining everything in detail and has been wonderful at following up with any questions we've had. She returns calls promptly and gets the job done. She represented my now-husband in his divorce and is going to represent hi...m again in going back to fight a few custody and child support issues. She suggested and is fighting for way more than we had ever thought of on our own. We are very grateful for her diligence and expertise. I've referred her once before and my friend was very happy with the outcome of her divorce as well. I would definitely recommend Margaret A. Quijano Scott again.
