Regretful Decision

After being recommend by a colleague, I hired Adam Cortez for his services. He was not insightful on anything we discussed, very vague on the law and at times it seemed as if he was not familiar with how to fight for his client. I was the one always having to initiate any type of feedback or how to p...roceed with the case. The courtroom seemed like a social affair to him. Hopping around like the miniature easter bunny, making his presence known to the other attorneys. It was pathetic. He cost me more money and greif, than his services rendered were worth. Next time I hire an attorney, I will definitely do extensive research on their work ethic, legal knowledge and willingness to fight for their client!

Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter

"I had the opportunity to work with Adam on a case as opposing counsel. The case was of a sensitive nature, and Adam had a client with near impossible expectations. I witnessed Adam aggressively defend his client, while at all times remaining professional and courteous - an effort which furthered his client's objectives. If you're looking for someone to represent you with zeal and heart, I'd recommend Adam!"

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
