Leland Garrett McRae

Leland work on my son's high profile murder case, diligently for many years, over 5. He was a court appointed attorney for my son. Leland saw my son's case and immediately wanted to take it to trial. I agreed 100%. My son has mental illness and often didn't even know what's going on around him or wha...t's real. This did not detour Leland in the slightest. He sent him for a mental evaluation to make sure he was okay and to restore him to competency. It was during this time that my son was assigned another attorney. I continued to reach out to Leland and as always he was there. He came back and represented my son and he did everything he said he would do the first day we talked, he fought!! The state was offering my son 30 years, which was not even an option to Leland. He knew he had a case from day one he wanted to fight and his opinion never wavered in this matter. I believe the day of deliberation Leland and my self are the only ones in the entire court room that believe we could or would get a not guilty. We did!!! He's a true professional and does not back down nor is he afraid to fight for what he believes is right. He's got grit and integrity. Integrity is a value that's very hard to find nowadays and that men owns it. I pray to never need a lawyer in the future but I do it'll definitely be Leland. 30 years on the table only offer prosecutors were willing to come with, to NOT GUILTY!!! If he was a boxer he would definitely be heavy weight, coming with that TKO. He puts me in the mind of Cassius Clay, because he tells you what he's going to do and he does it, just doesn't tell you what round he's going to do it in. Just that he's going to do it and he delivers. He helped me through one of the hardest times of my life. I'm truly grateful and blessed to have had him for an attorney for my son.
