Kyle Wayne Schumacher

I hired Kyle Schumacher as my bankruptcy attorney, and unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. Our first meeting took place on May 23, 2025, during which he reviewed my financial information and assured me that I qualified to file under Chapter 7. He then advised me to stop making p...ayments on all outstanding debts—including credit cards, loans, and medical bills—and instructed me to direct any creditors to his office. Following his guidance, I ceased payments and, on June 3, 2025, submitted an initial payment of $800 to begin the process. However, nearly a month later, on June 21, 2025, Kyle informed me that after conducting the means test, I did not qualify for Chapter 7 and would need to file under Chapter 13 instead. This critical eligibility assessment should have been completed before advising me to halt all payments and collecting any fees. As a result of this oversight, my accounts accrued significant late fees, and my credit score suffered major damage due to missed payments and negative reporting. When I declined to proceed with Chapter 13 and contacted him on June 28, 2025, Kyle abruptly reversed course, claiming he might still be able to qualify me for Chapter 7 and even suggested the possibility of discharging my student loans. This felt like a disingenuous attempt to retain my business rather than a sincere reconsideration of my case. I requested a refund of the $800, which he refused—stating that the entire amount had been used to pull my credit. That explanation is, frankly, unacceptable. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Kyle Schumacher or The Schumacher Lane for any legal services. I felt misled, poorly advised, and financially harmed during a vulnerable time. I urge others to seek a more responsible and trustworthy attorney who will take the appropriate steps before engaging in a legal process with such serious financial implications.
